It comes from the will to bring old ladies on two wheels to their old, antique glory.
It was born to live with them magical moments on the city circuits of 80 years ago.
It is an ardous challenge to the current technology, orphan of passion and manual skill.
It was born as an utopian dream of a slow life signed by lunar phases and not electrical time recorders.
Scuderia Gessi just want to be a small place where little dreamers find their place, dreamers who take away time to their families, to their affections to run after a fleeting dream.
The beauty of aluminium polished by hand, the definitive noise of an old twin, the crackle of an outdated clutch.
By the web, an instrument that doesn't thrill us, we just want to communicate the poetry who inspires our hearts and arms our stiff, horny hands, always greasy and smelly (beware- not evil-smelling!) of petrol and Castrol grease.
Scuderia Gessi has not got its own mission, as they say these days. It never says "absolutely yes" or "almost that". It hates clichés, the perfect motorcycles that never gets broken.they say, electronics that take genius away and, at the same time, wear latex gloves to work. The dialect from Ferrara has a saying: "gat inguantà al n'ha mai ciapà un pontag": the cat wearing gloves never caught a mouse.
Hands must feel the heat of the metal, they have to melt in a unique body with the key - in this way it will only be possible to establish a mantra between the mechanic and the motorcycle.
You will never see us eating sushi, but only thick salami slices.
For us a car must be low and with two seats, Suvs are just stupid caravans for people who show off and Japanese cars and motorcycles are useless retches for prim bourgeois.
Between Prometheus and Epimetheus we will always support the latter.
